Oh What A Wonderful Trip!

The trip idea began when a member of our social walking group mentioned that they would like to go. I thought why don’t we ask our hardworking volunteers as a celebration for all their hard work, plus it was a chance to have some fun! We had 19 very excited people ages ranging from 14 to 82 years old eager to attend. So, when I woke on the morning of the trip to the pitter patter of rain my heart sank. Oh no what will we do? Well, I needn’t have been worried because the moment we arrived the sun made an appearance and kept us company all day!

We were welcomed by the staff who were friendly and most helpful. As we set off with three chariots it was lovely to hear the laughter and chattering rippling through the gardens. Lunchtime was a chance to get together and compare notes on the floral delights whilst enjoying a much-deserved picnic.

The general consensus was The Bridgewater Gardens were absolutely beautiful. We particularly enjoyed relaxing around the Weston Walled Gardens and the peaceful Lily Pond in the Paradise Garden.

As the trip came to an end all you could hear was comments like, “This has made my week” “What a wonderful trip,” “Oh I feel so much better” However, the most asked question was “Where are we going next?”
