International Women’s Day Celebration 2024

On Saturday, March 9th Jan & I (Margaret) attended a fabulous Celebration for International Women's Day.

The event was organised by councillor Jo Harding, and we had been nominated by the Toy House Chairperson, George Devlin, in the category ‘Above & Beyond.’ Thank you so much for the nomination, George.

During the evening, we heard about the inspiring work so many women are doing to support, inform and empower other women in our community. We were honoured to be in their company & amazed and grateful that we won in our category. Thank you, Jo for all your work arranging the evening. 

Each day at the Toy House is different where we work with all the diverse members of our community ranging from babies to our eldest attendee who is 95 years young. We’re so fortunate to be supported to do this work by an incredible loyal team of volunteers who enable us to run the various sessions.
